Turtle Day
5 Red ventured down to the Prep area on Friday to help our buddies create the World Turtle Day display. We painted murals, built turtles in the sand and used the chalk boards to draw turtles. Once we were finished the rest of the school came down to view our master pieces. We love spending time with our buddies!

CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONS
The Year 5 Cross Country runners put in a sensational effort today. Congratulations to the place getters who each received a medallion.

READING WITH PREP BUDDIES
Buddy time this week was spent reading picture books to our buddies.
Some buddies chose to challenge each other to a game of Chess!
Next week's buddy session will include Chess, shared reading and iPads.
It was great fun sharing buddy time together!

ANZAC DAY
On Friday, several Year 5 students joined others to walk behind our school banner in the Runaway Bay ANZAC DAY march.
Thank you Nicholas, Sarsha, Ella, Daniella and their families.

Lillian's bean seed is the first to grow into a plant and produce a bean!

FLOATING EGG EXPERIMENT - 5 GOLD
How do you make an egg float?
5 Gold students worked scientifically to saturate a salt solution to increase the density of the liquid, which caused the egg to float.
